Rare Audio Recording - Grayson Hall as the Fly in HAPPY END (1977)

The following audio was sourced from an audience recording of the 1977 production of the Brecht/Weill/Hauptmann musical play HAPPY END in which Grayson Hall played the gang boss known as "the Fly." This selection includes all of Grayson's scenes (audio only) with photos. The cast also included Christopher Lloyd and Meryl Streep— this recording was done at a preview performance with Shirley Knight, who was shortly thereafter replaced by Streep. This very rare recording was kindly shared by Stephen Robert Shutt.

The following audio was sourced from an audience recording of the 1977 production of the Brecht/Weill/Hauptmann stage musical HAPPY END in which Grayson Hall played the gang boss known as "the Fly." This selection features Grayson singing her big number, "The Ballad of the Lily of Hell." This very rare recording was kindly shared by Stephen Robert Shutt.
